Midnight Riot by Ben Aaronovitch

Midnight Riot (Peter Grant, #1)Midnight Riot by Ben Aaronovitch
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I picked this up because I paged through it at my local B&N and it looked pretty good. Turns out, that’s an understatement. If you took the BBC’s Sherlock Holmes reboot, made it a police procedural, and injected magic and supernatural creatures, you’d get this. The writing is crisp and witty. I found myself snickering out loud at certain points. I’m thrilled that this is the first of four books (three currently available) in the series because it means that I can keep reading.
