The Wednesday Sisters by Meg Waite Clayton

Set in Palo Alto, CA in the late 1960s through mid 1970s, The Wednesday Sisters is the story of five women who meet in a local park with their kids, become friends, and begin writing together, forming the Wednesday Sisters Writing Society.

I really enjoyed this book and had got sucked in time after time. It was very difficult for me to put down. Clayton does a great job of weaving the women’s stories together with the historical events that occurred during the same time period. She also made me care about what happened to the characters. A really excellent read, especially for a book that I picked up on sale at Target.
